Real So Cal White BU9 Ranked 2nd out of the 99 Club Soccer Teams in Southern California

|
REAL SO CAL BU10 WHITE

Real So Cal BU10 White is one of the strongest club soccer teams in California.  For the fall 2011 seaon, the team competed in Tier I of the So Cal Development Soccer League, the most competitive gaming circuit in California.  In the fall 2010, the team won the Silver North Bracket in Coast Soccer League, which was then the most competitive bracket for the age group.  The team regularly plays in many of the most prestigious tournaments, and has won several of them.  We are part of the Real So Cal Soccer Club, one of the most successful soccer clubs in the United States, and winners of six national championships, and numerous regional and state championships.  Real So Cal is one of only nine clubs in Southern California that is part of the United States Soccer Development Academy, the highest level of youth soccer in the United States.  The US National, professional, and collegiate teams regularly recruit from the Development Academy.  In 2010, Real So Cal’s U18 Academy team finished first in Southern California and third in the country.

The team is coached by Joey Hoffman, a native of England, who is "A" licensed and an Olympic Development Program (ODP) state and regional coach.  Joey won the 2010 ODP National Championship with the 1994 Cal South team, and was a finalist again in 2011.  The focus of the team is on long range development of the boys as people and players, and playing soccer the right way.  A big part of the team’s success is the interaction of the players and families on and off the soccer field.

For the U11 season in 2012, Real So Cal White will be combining with Real So Cal Blue, Real So Cal Black and several new recruits to form one of the strongest and most competitive U11 teams in California.  If you have what it takes to play at the highest level, come check us out.

All three Real So Cal BU10 teams -- White, Blue and Black -- along with a number of talented recruits will be participating in a BU10 combine at Oak Park HS in Agoura Hills on its new turf field on Saturday, January 7.  The boys will train from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. and then play games from 1:00-2:30 p.m.  All talented soccer players are invited to attend.  All of the Real So Cal teams will be combining after State Cup in March to form some of the most competitive soccer teams in California.

Real So Cal White BU10 Looking to Add Several Players

Real So Cal White has already had an incredibly successful fall season, and established itself as one of the most competitive BU10 teams in California.  We have talented players, a great group of families, outstanding training from an ODP coach, and the backing of one of the strongest clubs in the country.  After State Cup in March 2012, we will be combining with Real So Cal Blue, Real So Cal Black and several other recruits to form one of the most competitive U11 teams in California.

Now that transfers between clubs can be made, we have already added a couple of very talented players to the team, and we are looking to add one more for the remainder of this season and for the coming seasons.  If your son is a talented soccer player and you are interested in having him play at the highest level of club soccer with and against the strongest players in the state, come on out to our practices.  We have a dynamic schedule planned for 2011-2012, including State Cup, numerous tournaments, league season, friendlies, and special trainings.  We will be playing in the most competitive summer tournaments, including Surf Cup, West Coast, and NHB.

We practice Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4:30-6:15 p.m. at Pierce College in Woodland Hills.  Our practice field is on the Winnetka side of Pierce, next to the baseball field.  We will be training through Thursday, December 9, 2010, and will resume practice Tuesday, January 4, 2011.  For more information, contact Doug Silverstein, dsilverstein@californialaborlawattorney.com, (818) 259-9669.

Second Tournament Win in Two Weeks

For the second week in a row, Real So Cal White has won a tournament -- this time playing up a year in BU10.  The team captured the Santa Barbara Soccer in the Sand tournament, going undefeated.  Aside from a great win, all the families enjoyed a day on the beach in Santa Barbara.

Real So Cal White Wins Simi SAS Kickers & Chivas USA FA Spring Cup

Real So Cal White BU9 started its spring tournament season by winning the Simi SAS Kickers and Chivas USA FA Spring Cup. The team went undefeated in route to the championship, along the way beating the very competitive Nevada BU9 state champion.

Real So Cal White Wins Coast Soccer League BU9 Silver North!

Real So Cal White BU9 capped off its amazing fall season by winning the League Championship in the Coast Soccer League Silver North Bracket.  Silver is the most competitive bracket in BU9.  By winning the championship, Real So Cal White beat out some of the most competitive teams in the state, including Barcelona, Celtic, Arsenal, Oxnard PAL, Fullerton Rangers and South Bay Force.  Congratulations to the boys for all their hard work.  By winning Silver North, Real So Cal White will be promoted to Silver Elite for their BU10 season next year.  Silver Elite is the most competitive bracket in U10.

Real So Cal White 2010 Plans

Real So Cal White exceeded all expectations as a U8 team playing U9 club soccer.  Until May 2010, we played as Real So Cal Black.  The team will play in the U9 age group again for Fall 2010 as a true U9 team and everyone is extremely excited about the prospects given our success playing up a year.  Leading up to the Fall 2010 season, we will be playing about a tournament a month, scheduling numerous "friendly" soccer games with other top U9 and U10 teams, holding team training camps in addition to weekly training, and really focusing on long range player development.  We will also have a number of team outings and parties, as a big part of our team’s success is the interaction of the boys and parents independent of soccer.

Real So Cal White BU9 Advances to Finals Playing up a Year in BU10 Tournament

Playing up a year in the Ventura County Fusion BU10 tournament, Real So Cal White BU9 advanced to the finals before losing 3-2 to Real So Cal Black BU10, a silver team.  This was the second tournament in a row where it was an all Real So Cal final.  It was a hard fought match where the boys played some beautiful soccer against the bigger, stronger, faster U10 team.  In pool play, we were undefeated against the U10 teams.  In all, we scored 17 goals and only gave up 4 against the older teams.  Challenging the boys by playing up a year against older teams is an essential part of the team’s development.

Real So Cal White Wins Second Tournament in Two Weeks

Real So Cal White BU9 won its second tournament in a row, the 2010 Ventura County Premier Cup, scoring 26 goals and and giving up 7.  The icing on the cake took place during the championship trophy presenation ceremony when the tournament director told us that we were the model of sideline behavior.  The tournament was a great success for the Real So Cal club, as Real So Cal Black BU9 was the finalist.

Real So Cal White Wins Pats Cup!

Real So Cal White BU9 won the 2010 Pats Cup, scoring 27 goals and giving up only 4 in route to the championship.  Along the way, Real So Cal White beat Patadores and West Coast FC, both of which have been bracketed in the Coast Soccer League Silver South bracket.  Silver is the most competitive bracket for this age group.

Real So Cal White Bracketed in Coast Soccer League Silver North Bracket for Fall 2010

Congratulations to the boys for earning a coveted spot in the Silver North bracket for the Coast Soccer League this fall.  Silver is the highest bracket at the U9 age group reserved only for the top teams in the state, and is a well-deserved honor for this hard working group.  Here is a link to the BU9 brackets:  http://www.coastsoccer.com/2010/BB09XX.HTM

Real So Cal Black (now White) Wins Tournament Sportsmanship Award

On April 10-11, 2010, Real So Cal Black BU8 played in the BU9 Santa Clarita Coaster Classic soccer tournament.  The boys played beautifully against the older teams, advancing to the semi-finals before losing to the state champion BU9 team, FC Barcelona Blue.  While we were all proud of the way the boys played, we were even more proud that we were given the tournament sportsmanship award for the boys’ conduct on and off the field.

Real So Cal BU8 Ranked 15th out of 83 BU9 Teams for 2009 Coast Soccer League

After finishing the 2009 Coast Soccer League season with an outstanding record of 10 wins, 1 loss, 1 tie, 5 shutouts, scoring 64 goals, and only giving up 19, we have been ranked 15th out of 83 Bronze teams in the Coast Soccer League, despite the fact that we were playing in the U9 age group as a U8 team.  Based upon this ranking, we would be promoted to a Silver bracket next season if we were moving on to the U10 age group.  This is an incredible accomplishment for any team, let alone one that is playing up a year.  For the Fall 2010 season, we will be playing U9 again so we can play our true age group.  Everyone is really excited about the prospect of playing teams our own age.  Here is the link to the Coast Soccer League U9 rankings:  http://www.coastsoccer.com/2009/esadb09.htm

Real So Cal Black Coach Joey Hoffman Coaches Cal South ODP Team to National Championship

On March 13-14, 2010, Joey Hoffman, Coach of Real So Cal BU9 Black, coached the Cal South Boys 1994 Olympic Development Program ("ODP") team to the ODP National Championship.  The team beat Iowa in the semifinals, and Eastern New York finals, scoring 7 goals and giving up none in the two games.  Several of the players on the team coached by Joey have been invited to the US National U17 soccer team residency program in Florida.  Numerous collegiate, national team, and professional scouts were in attendance at the event looking for the best soccer talent in the United States.  Formed to identify the best players from every state and in each age group from which a national team can be selected for international competition, ODP players are exposed to the nation’s top coaches from colleges, the U.S. national team, and professional leagues.  Here is the link to a story on the Cal South ODP National Championship:  http://www.calsouth.com/en/news-detail/254-year.2010_254-id.209715521.html

Real So Cal Black Advance to Finals of South Bay Force Oydessy Cup

On January 9-10, 2010, Real So Cal Black BU8, playing in a BU9 tournament, advanced to the finals where we met Pateadores.  After taking a 1-0 lead, Pateadores scored in injury time with just seconds left in the game to tie it up.  The game was still tied after overtime, and Pateadores just beat us out in penalty kicks.  What a great game by both teams.

Real So Cal Black Takes Second Place in 2009 Coast Soccer League BU9 Bronze Beta Bracket as a BU8 Team

Real So Cal Black BU9 just finished an amazing league season by capturing second place in the Coast Soccer League Bronze Beta bracket.  Coast Soccer League is the strongest club soccer league in the United States.  The team finished the season with 10 wins, 1 loss, 1 tie, had 5 shutouts, scored 64 goals, and only gave up 19.  What makes the accomplishment all the more impressive is that the team is made up of U8 players playing against club level players a year older in U9.  The team will play in U9 again for the 2010-2011 season.

Joey Hoffman to Coach BU9 Real So Cal Black

We are pleased to announce that Joey Hoffman will coach the BU9 Real So Cal Black team.  Joey is a native of England and has significant playing experience.  He is a United States Soccer Federation ("USSF") "A" licensed coach with extensive college, club and high school coaching experience.  Joey is a head coach for the Cal South Olympic Development Teams ("ODP"), and a Region IV Staff Coach for ODP, which covers the Western United States.  ODP is one of the primary methods of identifying players for the US National Soccer teams.  We are truly lucky to have Joey developing and training our players.
