PERHAPS THEY PREFER BRACKET “A” IN ALBUQUERQUE
Kristy Walker’s Girls U17 White continued their impressive Spring by winning Cal South National Cup, defeating Surf 2-0 in the final on Sunday, May 16. Although these ladies had already qualified for this year’s USYS Western Regionals in Albuquerque by virtue of their recent FWRL spring championship (see earlier article on this website), nevertheless they approached Cal South National Cup with a continued sense of determination, confidence, and tenacity. The team disposed of long time rivals Eagles in the quarter finals and Slammers in the semi finals before playing Surf in the championship match. We are not sure what these ladies are eating for breakfast, but whatever it is…please don’t change the menu!
