IF BOTH FIELDS START AND END THE SAME TIME, THE OLDER AGE GROUP TEAM WILL BE RESPONSIBLE.  IF ONLY ONE FIELD HAS GAMES SCHEDULED, ONLY TAKE FOUR FLAGS AND TWO STAKES FROM THE SHED.

OAK PARK HIGH SCHOOL TURF – Game Day Open/Close and Throughout the Day - For assistance call 310-701-1936

There are no seeds, food, or colored drinks permitted anywhere on the turf or track.  EZ Ups or chairs placed on the track must have a protective cover underneath them (tarp).  The home team coach or manager is responsible for reminding their own team as well as the opponent of these rules.

The facility is opened and closed by one of our club parents for games on the SCDSL schedule.  Each RSC team playing on the field has some game day responsibility.  Our club parent is also responsible for turning the field lights off.

First team of the day – move the goals from the corner and roll them to the field.  Corner flags should already be in place.  Four team benches should be placed on the visitor side away from the stands – two benches per team.  Be sure the benches you move have the rounded bottoms.

If your game will be played in the evening, you will need to turn the lights on.  The light box is near the goal post.

At the end of each game the RSC team is responsible for clearing the field and sideline of debris from their game – bottles, tape, trash; anything left on the sideline or on the field of play.  Also, please be sure the RSC parents in the stands remind everyone to pick up after themselves.   A friendly shout out helps everyone remember to pick up after themselves.

Last team of the day – move the goals back to the corner (off the track near the light post – stadium side, farthest from the parking area).  Return two benches to the stadium side. (You do not have to move the benches on Saturday night if RSC is playing there on Sunday.)  The goals should be moved every night though since it prevents others from utilizing the soccer field without permission.  Please be sure all trash is completely removed from the field and track area.

Our club parent will close the field which includes turning off the lights, removing and storing the corner flags, locking the goals together, closing and locking up the stadium and restroom facilities.

The restrooms are cleaned on Sunday evenings.

If you run into any issues on the field, please call 310-701-1936 for assistance.

PIERCE COLLEGE (RSC Coaches have the key combination to the locks)

SET UP AND TAKE DOWN INSTRUCTIONS:

Check the SCDSL schedule to see if you are the first or last team of the day on your field of play.

First Team of the Day:

Set up responsibilities include unlocking the (for games only) goals next to the shed, setting them up on the field of play and staking them down, and unlocking and getting the stakes and corner flags from the bin. This needs to take place no later than one hour before game time.

Last Team of the Day:

Take down includes putting the goals back in the lock up position and locking them up, (see pictures below) and returning the corner flags and stakes to the bin. The bin also needs to be locked up upon departing. All goal locks and chains need to be secure while games are in progress to avoid losing them.

After the last game on each day the goals need to be locked up and the corner flags put back in the storage bin. Three locks/chains are to be used for each location the goals are secured.

ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ALL TEAMS

BOTH SET UP AND TAKE DOWN – PLEASE REVIEW

The first game of each day is responsible for set up no later than 1 hour before game time. If a field has a game assigned to it at the beginning of the day that is not involving our club, the team playing the first game of the day that does involve our club is responsible for set up. If the last game of the day does not involve our club, the last team from our club that played on that field is responsible for take down. Goals must be staked down before play can commence for safety reasons. Stakes must be removed and put back in the bin when goals are locked up. Pierce 1 for the SCDSL is the Winnetka side large field Pierce SS 1 is also on the Winnetka side Pierce 2 is the  large middle field on the Victory side  Pierce 3 is the large field closest to the Pit.

The four large goals to be used on Pierce #2 and #3 are secured next to the shed:
